Bar Owner Forced To Close Her Business LIVID After Mayor Okays Movie Studio’s Food Tent Next Door

A Los Angeles bar owner who was forced to close her business due to increase COVID-19 restrictions is livid after Mayor Garcetti approves a food tent for a movie studio next door.

Last week Los Angeles county shut down restaurant dining and urged people to stay at home. The city added a similar stay-at-home order days later. On Thursday, the California governor, Gavin Newsom, announced a regional-stay-at home order for areas in the state, triggered when intensive care units fall below 15% capacity. And on Friday, several Bay Area counties issued stay-at-home orders even before reaching that benchmark.

Restaurants have gone out of business all over the city, including a high-end fish restaurant with stunning views over the ocean just a few blocks away next to the Santa Monica Pier. The pier itself, one of the LA area’s most recognizable landmarks, is still packed with people, many of whom are maskless and stay significantly less than 6ft apart. Yet, nobody has shown much interest in policing anything – much less closing the place down.

Many believe it is indicative of inconsistent and illogical applications of anti-Covid restritions by political leaders facing pressure from a variety of unions and industry lobby groups.
