Biden Again Calls Kamala Harris ‘President Harris’

During a speech in Atlanta, Georgia, on Tuesday, President Biden referred to Vice President Harris as “President Harris” while reading from a teleprompter – a mistake he has made repeatedly throughout his presidency.

“Last week, President Harris and I stood in the United States Capitol,” Biden said.

Last month, Biden also called her “President Harris” during a speech at South Carolina State University.

“But, all kidding aside, of course, President Harris, who’s a proud Howard alum, she might have something to say about Delaware State,” Biden said.

Biden had made the mistake at least two times prior to the December 2021 incident.

In March 2021, Biden said, “Now when President Harris and I took a virtual tour of a vaccination center, in Arizona…” Biden paused midway through the sentence after appearing to realize his mistake.

In December 2020, a month before Biden’s inauguration, he referred to Harris as “President-elect Harris” as he discussed the COVID-19 vaccines. Biden said, “I took it to instill public confidence in the vaccine. President-elect Harris took hers today for the same reason.”
