An aide for President Biden shouted down reporters who tried to ask the president questions during a visit to a local hardware store.
According to The Washington Post Biden visited “W.S. Jenks & Son, a hardware store in Washington that the White House said received a loan after Biden announced a change in rules last month to prioritize ‘mom-and-pop’ businesses with 20 or fewer employees.”
After Biden’s visit to the store, reporters tried to ask the president questions, at which point an aide to the president started shouting that it was time to go and they needed to leave, blocking the reporters from asking any questions. It can be heard in the video that one reporter was trying to ask Biden a question about his “crisis at the border.”
According to border official John Modlin, illegal immigration at the Southern border has continued to grow over the past few months, and we are now on pace for illegal immigration to surpass the numbers of 2018, 2019, and 2020 combined.
The aide’s shutdown of reporters’ questions comes just days after the White House cut off a live stream of a discussion between Biden and House Democrats after Biden said he was “happy to take questions.”

Biden has gone nearly 50 days without a solo press conference after the inauguration, a modern-day record that is nearly 50% more than the president in second place.
