President Biden’s Treasury nominee certainly knows how to manage money; simply steal what you need, keep your money. Saule Omarova, Biden’s pick to lead the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) was arrested in 1995 for “retail theft.”

Fox News obtained the police report which details Omarova’s arrest. According to the report, Omarova was an adult at 28 years old at the time and stole $214 worth of merchandise from a T.J. Maxx before being caught.

The police report was filed by a T.J. Maxx security agent. Talk about ethical behavior; Omarova is now a Cornell Law School professor who has a history in private law practice. She also worked in the Treasury Department under former President George W. Bush.

Fox News reports “The T.J. Maxx security agent on duty told police that he saw Omarova take the items by placing them into a large purse and covering them with other clothing items to obscure the stolen items.”

The agent stated that Omarova paid for several items at the jewelry counter but “made no attempt to pay for the items concealed in her purse” and confronted her after she left the store with the stolen items.

Omarova “immediately requested the opportunity to pay for the items” and was “cooperative” as the security agent said he would “sign a complaint” about the items being taken “without his consent.”

The responding police officer read Omarova her rights, which she “waived,” according to the police report, and then “admitted to have stolen the items.”

“It should be noted that I advised Omarova she was under arrest prior to having read her rights,” the officer wrote. A Wisconsin Department of Justice background check previously obtained by Fox News shows Omarova had a deferred prosecution in January 1996 for the charge, which was dropped through the state’s first offender program.

In a statement to Fox News, a spokesperson said, “the White House strongly supports this historic nomination.”

  1. So the left is ok with a shop lifter being nominated for the treasury dept. But if you have a tweet that hurts someone’s feelings or said something inappropriate to someone 25 years ago then off with their heads! What is wrong with you people? Shoplifting is a crime. Hurting someone’s feelings is not!

  2. Wow! another vulture nominated by Sleepy Joe. The president of the most powerful country in the world is bent on destroying their country. DEMOCRACY around the world is in danger GOD help us all.

  3. In South Africa they would make her minister of finance and print her face on the money. Corruption is woke democracy. Seemingly.

  4. The absolute. definitive , ideal candidate for this regime’s Treasury control. Another corrupt, larcenous Democrat with sticky fingers. Just like Joe.
