Democrats Can’t Stop Lying About The Trump-Ukraine Transcript

After being embarrassed again for their unsubstantiated allegations against Trump turning out to be false, the Democrats have decided they are just going to lie their way to impeachment.

Before any of the documents had been released, the Democrats and the mainstream media had already decided the narrative of the Ukrainian phone call as alleged by the whistleblower, who based their allegations on rumors they had heard. Now that the transcript and whistleblower complaint have been released, the Democrats and media outlets are lying and warping the documents to fit their narrative.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA), for example, blatantly lied about the contents of the transcript from the phone call between President Trump and the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Schiff claimed that Trump said “I hear what you want. I have a favor I want from you, though. And I’m going to say this only seven times, so you better listen well. I want you to make up dirt on my political opponent, understand? Lots of it, on this and on that… You know what I’m asking, and so I’m only going to say this a few more times, in a few more ways. And by the way, don’t call me again; I’ll call you when you’ve done what I asked.”

Every word of this is a lie, Trump says nothing close to this, as you can see in the transcript. But, the House Democrats were not the only ones lying about the contents of the transcript. Numerous news outlets omitted more than 500 words of the transcript to push the narrative that Trump was asking for Ukraine to investigate the Bidens as a favor, which is not true. Among those omitting large sections of the transcript to make this farfetched claim are: The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, NPR, MSNBC’s Nicholle Wallace, MSNBC’s Katy Tur, “The View,” and Fox News’ Shephard Smith.

The “favor” Trump asked for was for Ukraine to investigate interference in the 2016 election, which is a national security concern that the Commander-in-Chief should be addressing. Per the transcript, Trump said:

“I would like you to do us a favor though because our country has been through a lot and Ukraine knows a lot about it. I would like you to find out what happened with this whole situation with Ukraine, they say Crowdstrike … I guess you have one of your wealthy people … The server, they say Ukraine has it. There are a lot of things that went on, the whole situation. I think you’re surrounding yourself with some of the same people. I would like to have the attorney general call you or your people and I would like you to get to the bottom of it. As you saw yesterday, that whole nonsense ended with a very poor performance by a man named Robert Mueller, an incompetent performance, but they say a lot of it started with Ukraine. Whatever you can do, it’s very important that you do it if that’s possible.”

But the truth is that it does not matter what the transcript said, the Democrats will want impeachment no matter what. As Nancy Pelosi said about the transcript, “I haven’t seen it. But the transcript is, uh, the fact is, that the president of the United States, in breach of his constitutional responsibilities, has asked a foreign government to help his political campaign at the expense of our national security.”

She admittedly has not seen it, but she is still making claims that the transcript does not support.
