During a segment on The View, Behar made the absurdly stated that she was “never all in on Bernie.” She also added that she was just joking around about her support of Bernie in the 2016 campaign because she thought Hillary was a “sho0-in.”
McCAIN: “I think the era of the moderate Democrat is long gone, I think it’s full socialism all day long. And at least we now know, as conservatives, it’s going to be The Squad, AOC —”
BEHAR: “I don’t know if that’s true.”
McCAIN: “That’s what I believe and it’s what I see. I mean, look at how popular he is. You named your dog after him!”
GOLDBERG: “In Nevada —”
McCAIN: “You loved him.”
BEHAR: “How did I change my mind on Bernie? First of all, I was never all in on Bernie. I named my dog after him, it was a joke. Okay? I also thought I’d go rallying with him, which was really a joke. But I think that at that time I thought Hillary was a shoo-in, so I was having fun with Bernie. Now I’m not so sure.”

Just as a reminder, Behar stated in 2015 that she wanted to kiss Bernie Sanders, and even Tweeted that she was sexually attracted to him. Perhaps Behar and the rest of the media are having a bit of buyer’s remorse after realizing that the agenda that they have supported is incompatible with the American dream. These are the same individuals who praised Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez as a cultural hero.
The most humorous part of the media establishment’s ostracization of Bernie Sanders is that all of their other prospective candidates are just as radical as he is; they are just unwilling to admit it.
