Not Good! Iran, the United States and Biden’s Nuclear Deal

Iran Nuclear

An article posted on August 24 in Israel Unwired (IU) asserts that the Biden Administration is about to sign a “nuclear deal” with Iran, and further asserts that Israel is preparing to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities.

While the first phrase in the article may be true, the second phrase—that Israel is preparing to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities—rings hollow. A country seriously preparing to bomb another country back to the stone age does not, as a general proposition, give advance warning to the target of its intended actions.

As reported in IU, “With all the back and forth between the USA and Iran over a renewal of the 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and the world, it appears that America is about sign an official agreement with Iran allowing it to move forward with its nuclear program.” The IU report continues: “Caretaker Prime Minister Yair Lapid made it clear to France’s President Emmanuel Macron that Israel is not bound by the nuclear deal.” That Lapid would make such a declaration to Macron is illustrative of the silliness of the communication.

Lapid had more to say to Macron. “The Prime Minister made clear to the President that Israel opposes a return to the deal and would not be obligated by such an agreement,” the PM’s office said on Monday in a statement, adding that the country “will continue to do everything to prevent Iran from attaining a nuclear capability”. See Lapid’s statement in the video embedded in the article.

Alternative Prime Minister Naftali Bennett contributed the following to the Israeli government’s declaration: “This agreement will send approximately a quarter of a trillion dollars to the Iranian terror administration’s pocket and to its regional proxies, and will enable Iran to develop, install and operate centrifuges, with almost no restrictions, in a mere two years.’’

Bennett referred to days gone by. “Throughout the past year, even when it was very close, we successfully convinced our White House counterparts not to give in to Iranian demands. I hope this will remain the case.’’

One might editorialize that whoever is calling the shots and dictating the destructive farrago of foreign policy positions in the Biden Administration is unwaveringly committed to pacifying the Iranians. Biden’s folks are obsessed with getting a ‘deal,’ which really means appeasing Iran without a scintilla of benefit for the United States and with much foreseeable risk.

The fact that Iran has breached every aspect of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), known commonly as the Iran nuclear deal or Iran deal, an agreement on the Iranian nuclear program reached in Vienna on 14 July 2015, between Iran and the P5+1 (the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council —China, France, Russia, United Kingdom, United States—plus Germany) is irrelevant and or ignored by Biden’s puppet masters, who are indifferent to the reality that negotiating an agreement with Iran is analogous to negotiating a mutual defense pact with a green mamba snake in Zimbabwe.

Whoever was the source for the Israel Unwired article that disclosed that Israel is preparing for an attack on Iran impresses as intergalactically obtuse. Informing Iran that Israel is planning to attack is a meme better suited for text in the 1994 comedy, Dumb and Dumber. Iran is not going to fear Israel, given the morally suicidal tendencies of Western nations.

Be prepared for Iran to take measures such as placing, let’s say, one million young school children around its nuclear facilities and daring Israel to attack them. After all, during the Iraq-Iran war, both countries conscripted little children to walk through mine fields so the children, rather than soldiers, would be blown up. The Biden Administration may not care a whit for Israel, and may be rooting for its annihilation, but this Iran nuclear deal also threatens the interests of the United States. Not good!
