After attacking President Trump for pushing what they called a “conspiracy theory”, the New York Times has admitted that the deep state exists. They have decided to anoint these unelected bureaucrats, who hate the President, as “heroes” that deserve our “praise”.

“President Trump is right: The deep state is alive and well. But it is not the sinister, anti-democratic cabal of his fever dreams. It is, rather, a collection of patriotic public servants — career diplomats, scientists, intelligence officers, and others — who, from within the bowels of this corrupt and corrupting administration, have somehow remembered that their duty is to protect the interests, not of a particular leader, but of the American people.

Top of the list, of course, is the still-anonymous whistle-blower who touched off the impeachment drama by registering his concerns about Mr. Trump’s clandestine effort to pressure Ukraine into conducting investigations that would benefit his re-election campaign.

This is Mr. Trump’s deep state. For the sake of the nation, the American public should be clamoring for more patriots to join the conspiracy.” – New York Times

The New York Times is asking for more deep state actors to put their own political views above all else, and “join the conspiracy”. The admission of the deep state existing could be a preemptive move to try to protect members of the deep state in advance of the supposedly damning FISA report. This admission is in stark contrast with how the media has portrayed anyone talking about the deep state until recently.

Will these other media members now come out and admit that a group of unelected bureaucrats abused their power? Will they also claim that they were doing this as an act of patriotism and selflessness?

I dont understand why there is still an American for the Democratic Party.

There is an old expression that is 100% accurate all of the time and that is to judge a person’s actions you need to clearly understand their motivations. Case in point, there has to be a reason why Adam Schiff chooses to shield his process from the public/GOP/basically anyone else that has an interest. He has been a person from BEFORE day 1 had an agenda to derail this administration. Knowing that solves most of the question as to why he does what he does but I believe it is deeper than that. I won’t spawn any conspiracy theories but he is very akin to Spk Pelosi and there has already been a foreshadow of sorts of Taking Pence out with Trump if they can tie them together which leaves Spkr Pelosi next in line for the Throne. Somewhat twisted but is it plausible that is the ultimate goal here? If not, someone needs to start with pre-emptive strikes against his process and fight fire with fire by doing the same thing Schiff does and that is release sound bites to the media. Obviously he doesn’t care if they are true or not but what happened yesterday was awesome in the sense it showed Unity in the GOP party and aggressiveness which was lacking for a long time. The POTUS should know by actions like that he has support. This is a travesty of justice and it is only planting a seed for the bleak future of this country as this will at some point become the norm.
Lastly, Our country is in a very Cold Civil/Uncivil war presently and as many people would like to point a finger at the POTUS that is not the case. It is the bully syndrome where media/democrats/pundits/and others pile on only to give the superficial appearance that the GOP is the catalyst. It is almost surreal and uncomprehensible but it has created a divide that is almost at a point of no return and the fracturing continues daily. This is a dangerous path to be on and i’m not sure if we haven’t gone too far down it to turn the tide in a positive direction without bitter feelings and further resentment. I am concerned about things going forward…..

  • Jeffrey Maniff says:

Greg, excellent point because that is the literal root of all the evil that is persisting this movement forward. It is a movement based on hatred, unacceptance that a NON-Politician can do a better job than a career Politician, and jealousy/rage. If we don’t wipe the floor with appropriate cast of characters then they will remain and their longevity will spread into another administration. A full cleansing is necessary and it has to include consequences for the actions of people otherwise utter chaos will ensue. Currently, we see several people doing whatever they want and answering to NOBODY. They are breaking laws, violating constitions, amendments, Due Process, etc. and we all sit by and watch this play out daily. However, I did want you to know that your approach was consistent with the only way to get to a decent starting point and begin to redirect this country back in a forward and productive direction.

  • Richard Cornell says:

The NYT does as they want. Their pass history shows what they will do for a story if there is no story then the reporter will not get paid. So to keep a job you must be a very good story teller. The NYT used to be a newspaper that carry all views form everyone, but times have change and with it the staff on the paper. With revenue down and it’s survival at stake being anti-Republican is the wises thing to do.
The NYT also have lost credibility around the world as its reporters are denied access to other world leaders and are polity shun by other media reporters.
