Pennsylvania held its swearing-in ceremony at the state Capitol building in Harrisburg on Tuesday.

But, the new session of the Pennsylvania Senate got off to a rocky start when republicans refused to seat a Democratic senator who was certified by the state as the winner.

Senate Republicans, who hold the majority, refused to let Pennsylvania Senator Jim Brewster take the oath of office.

It gets wilder.

When democrat Lt. Governor John Fetterman came to Brewster’s defense, the republicans removed him as presiding officer over the ceremony for failing to follow the rules and recognize their legislative motions.

“The chair does not find that in order,” Fetterman declared, which led to his ousting, according to CBS Philadelphia.

“The ayes are 14 and the nays are 11,” republican President Pro Tempore Jake Corman ruled, “and the Lieutenant Governor has been removed from the Senate for the day.”

Fetterman refused to leave, and when he called on Brewster to take the oath, Corman refused to allow senators to be sworn in with Brewster present.

Ultimately, Brewster withdrew.

“I am disappointed that it didn’t happen, but at some point in time they’re going to have to do that,” Brewster said. “The election’s over. We won the election. We got more votes.”

His opponent, republican Nicole Ziccarelli, hopes that mail-in ballots with un-dated envelopes will be disqualified and she will thus be seated.

“I have won the election in Senate District 45 after all legally cast ballots have been counted,” she said.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Senate Republican caucus accused Fetterman of “hijacking” the order and decorum of the Senate, and said they would act without display of partisanship, CBS Pittsburgh reports.

Finally, some Republicans grew a set of balls and stood up to all the illegality of the stolen elections! If there were any female Republicans involved with this action, thank you for standing up for what is right, and sorry if I offended you.

Unstamped ballots should not be counted. If not legally mailed or hand delivered by voter to clerks’ office they more than not are illegally cast votes .

Thank God, some Republicans, Patriots, are standing up to the injustices to the America people! If we let this election injustice stand, America, and is freedom will be gone FOREVER ❗️

My mother is from East Berlin. She grew up under the rule of Hitlers communism, and I know that she never thought she would be living out her final years under a communist government. My father was 3 WAR VETERAN in the Army. He gave 23 years protecting our CONSTITUTION . SHAME on the Democrats and RINOS in our government for dishonoring my fathers service and the service of all our Military, past and present ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
In addition to my father’s service, my son served in the Navy, my late husband served in the Army, my sister served in the Army and her middle son served in the Army. HOW DARE YOU ALL FOR DISHONORING THEIR SERVICE TO THIS GREAT COUNTRY❗️GOD BLESS AMERICA, GOD BLESS OUR GREAT PRESIDENT, DONALD TRUMP, AND MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON ALL THOSE THAT BETRAYED AMERICA ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

Finally, these battleground state legislatures should have been taking impeachment actions prior to the November elections or over riding Governors and SOS’s actions.

Where did Pennsylvania find Republicans with a back bone. We have no such thing the House and Senate. The Senate decided to vote against the best President we had in 40 years. And lost power just as they should. My biggest hope is that these uniformed Americans that voted for the hate America Democrats get the kind of government they deserve. Just like New York and California have.

Great move, PA. Now withdraw the electors for Joebama Buy-them, which were unconstitutionally submitted by your Governor, and certify your electors for Trump before Congress convenes in a few minutes. GBA.

So proud of members finally showing some back one- evil corruption cannot prevail- you are losing good conservative people by the drives but you can bring them back if you prevail!

It is about time some republicans spoke up for what right. And took decisive action. Hope Washington republicans would do what is right for a change. It is amazing that when Democrats are in minority they seem to steal be the majority. When the republicans are in majority they seem to thin they are in minority. If this was reversed the dems would be burning america down and it would be overlooked.

Good – Time for the legislature to do their Constitutional duty. They were denied doing their duty for the Presidential election with the dem Governor & Sec of State usurping their authority which is why
the courts did not act – they referred all back to the legislature. Also, sec of state was changing the voting rules the day of & during the voting process.

Why can the Democrats cry foul and Republican’s so okay and allow the protests recounts etc.
However when the Republican’s cry foul, it is a fight full on knock down drag out fight. This is asinine!!!!
We have proven scientifically and analytically. Yet no one but no one wants to hear the truth.

Too stupid and too coward to beat the faithless, shameless democrat thugs, republicans are also corrupt to the bone: only 90 out of about 300 have admitted that Trump’s America First was their priority, the rest carying only for their DeepState carreers… Too stupid and too coward to resist or to fight back they hide behind “good manners” and legality to explain their unexcusable failure… Truth is they didn’t want to see, didn’t want to hear what happens to sitting ducks… Now the RATS cut their wings and will eat them alive!

  25. Larry O'Loughlin says:

So terrific to finally see Republicans with a spine. Now if those loosers in Wadhington could do the same, maybe we can get the country back on track.
