Pelosi Can’t Wash Her Own Hair During Pandemic Lockdown

While Americans are having to forego the “little” things in life during the coronavirus pandemic, like, having to postpone cancer treatments, surgeries, funerals for our loved ones and an education for our children, Pelosi is one of the lucky few.

That’s right, the Democratic speaker of the house has outdone herself, rising to a level we dare say speculated to be beneath even her.

What is considered to be “a slap in the face,” speaker Pelosi snubbed all pandemic rules…to have someone wash her hair for her. On Monday, footage from eSalon’s security camera was released showing Pelosi walking around the salon without a face mask. Based in San Francisco, the hairstylist kept her face mask on while tending to Pelosi.

eSalon owner, Erica Kious did a phone interview with Fox News expressing her conflicted thoughts of the situation. Kious was contacted by one of her stylists who rents a chair in her salon with a screengrab of a text message she had received from one of her stylists which read “I’ll be there at 2:45 tomorrow. Pelosi assistant just messaged me to do her hair.”

“I was like, are you kidding me right now? Do I let this happen? What do I do?” Kious told Fox News. While Kious admitted she cannot “control” what stylists who rent chairs in her salon do, she views Pelosi’s actions as a double standard. “It was a slap in the face that she went in, you know, that she feels that she can just go and get her stuff done while no one else can go in, and I can’t work” said Kious. She also expressed she “can’t believe” the speaker was not wearing a mask.

“We’re supposed to look up to this woman, right? It is just disturbing” added Kious. “I have been fighting for six months for a business that took me 12 years to build to reopen…I am a single mom, I have two small children, and I have no income” said Kious whose stylists are currently not paying for their chairs in the salon due to COVID-19. Furthermore, “you’re not supposed to blow dry hair” according to coronavirus safety precautions for hair salons. Pelosi had her hair washed, followed by a blow dry.

Even more enraging was the speaker’s pathetic response to criticism. Pelosi spokesman Drew Hammill said in a statement, “This business offered for the Speaker to come in on Monday and told her they were allowed by the city to have one customer at a time in the business…the speaker complied with the rules as presented to her by this establishment.”

Isn’t that rich? Pelosi blamed the salon, even when there are text messages proving the stylist was told by Pelosi’s assistant to do her hair. Additionally, when were businessowners allowed to make their own decisions? Why do we even have politicians legislating these crippling laws when they are just going to ignore them and blame the business owners for their lack of obedience to their own rules and regulations.
