The question: “Republicans said voters should make the decision with the election coming up. Why shouldn’t voters make this decision?”
His answer shows that he thinks that there is a good chance that President Trump will win the 2020 election:
Schumer: “[l]ook, the bottom line is, when the president does something so egregious, as my colleagues have said, you don’t look the other way. Does that mean you would just do this in the second term? And one more point. If this president is interfering in the elections, the elections may not have a fair result. The very charge goes to the fairness of our election, and very few people doubt that he would do it again and again and again. He has already tried several times.”
What Senator Schumer and his fellow Democrats fail to realize is the reality that there is no evidence that President Trump aided or encouraged interfering (foreign or domestic) in any elections. Therefore, Schumer’s assertion that the 2020 election will not be fair and should be invalid is not only not based on facts, but also shows his lack of trust in the citizens of the United States.
